I'm happy I found your homepage - it's good to know there are other dedicated barefooter "out there"!!! I'm from Germany, but I'm living in India (since December 2000). I've been a full time - barefooter for the past 9 years, ever-since I left Europe for good. I'm traveling a lot, and never carry shoes in my backpack - even if I'm hiking in the Himalayas. It's amazing how well our feet adjust! My soles are very tough, and snow is no problem for me. India is just perfect for a 24/7/365 barefoot lifestyle: Many locals are barefoot all the time (especially in the South where I live), which is very encouraging. Barefoot hiking in the mountains, in the cold & snow, on trails with sharp gravel & rocks seems odd at first - unless you meet one of the countless Indian barefoot pilgrims! They don't care about the snow, they're totally comfortable in the cold - cause their feet got used to it long ago. Means I'm never feeling I'm doing something "weird" - I'm never alone... It seems you're also into traveling barefoot, that's really cool! It's so much fun! Please check out my Myspace page with loads of pics, trip reports etc. Any plans to travel in Asia? Your photos are cool and thanks for links to rbfeet.com where I came across Olga Gava's photos - the best FF photos I've ever seen! Got a hard-on after looking at her unbelievably ugly, rough and dirty feet. Thank you!
